Out in Monahans, Texas

Out in west Texas doing some work and did a drive over to Monahans. First, I was quite surprised at the amount of trackage in the small town. There is an old MP branchline here which was sold and became a shortline railroad. They interchange here and now looking at the satellite view I see more trackage that I did not explore. I will be out there again soon and will try to take more in.

There is a fancy mural in town which is eye catching.

With all that said, you better watch your step of the city police will roll their Iraq fighting machine on you. Just wait until something breaks down and they see the repair price!

On my way out of town this westbounder was encountered. There are not many options to pop across the tracks other than simply scrambling over on foot.
