Rock at Mumford

I hung out at Mumford to catch that last job with the Canadian cylindrical hoppers. There was some chit chat on the radio but nothing concrete. It seemed like a good time to head toward Valley Jct which sounded fairly busy. A mile or so down the road I encounter an empty rock train cruising right along westbound (toward Mumford) on the Navasota sub. Ah, why not go back and try to catch this one.

The video starts out with some scenes shot from the 'chase vehicle', then gives a bit of a panorama of my chosen spot and finally the train arrives. Don't fret, sound arrives when it needs to. I killed the sound on the first two segments since the wind was overpowering and annoying.

Sure nice to hear mechanical crossing bells instead of the nasty electronic version.
