More Weekend Train Video

The last post had me between Bryan and Mumford for a soda ash train. As a sidebar, there used to be a rock unloading spot near this spot called Sand Hill. The spot closed down because their storage tracks were not large enough to hold UP's longer rock train lengths. UP upped the length of rock trains a few years ago in an effort to be more efficient in the aggregate corridors.

This video shows a westbound train at East Mumford approaching the double crossovers at Mumford. This train is on the Navasota Sub (old SP at this spot) and will head straight through the crossover switches and onto the Giddings Sub for the trip to West Point. Note the batch of Canadian grain cylindrical hoppers on the head end.
